Burberry Flagship Store: 144 Bloor Street West, Toronto

About

This project encompassed the construction and renovation of a 2-storey Burberry flagship retail store in Toronto’s highly popular Bloor Street shopping district. LM Real Estate Consulting oversaw a retrofit of the existing interior base building, in addition to improvement work on the exterior façade and the installation and application of intelligent building design principles.

Updates

Project management work included internal demolition, structural repairs, asbestos abatement, and mechanical/electrical services.

Nespresso, Yorkville: 159 Cumberland Street, Toronto

About

In order to renovate this remarkable flagship retail space, LM Real Estate Consulting managed the structural and architectural demolition of a 4-storey movie theatre complex built over the Toronto Transit Commission subway lines. The renovations included an entirely new structural design, roofs, and floors.

Updates

A new exterior façade fronting Cumberland Street includes Italian granite and a full glass storefront. The new interior of Nespresso is stunningly modern in design, with premium features and finishes.

Value

This complex project commenced in June 2012 and was completed in October 2013. The total construction value was approximately $10 million.

Parkwoods Retail Plaza: 1277 York Mills Road, Toronto

About

This project management contract was for a 40,000 square foot strip mall at the corner of York Mills Road and Fenside, just east of the Don Valley Parkway. The Parkwoods Retail Plaza is a 50-year-old building that had not been renovated since the 1960’s and required updates.

Updates

LM Real Estate Consulting completed renovations to a portion of the plaza, where a total of 6 small units were combined into 1 space to accommodate a new Dollarama. The next task on this project is to demolish and construct a new Shoppers Drug Mart, in addition to constructing 2 new retail buildings that total 18,000 square feet.
